about

Inspired by everything new and unusual, a young musician from Kharkiv (Ukraine) Vsevolod Pechenin started to sing and play guitar, keyboards and drums at an early age. His search led him to electronic music where the embodiment of his wide taste was possible.

His debut album Language Mistakes includes roaring indietronica (Invasion), instrumental trip-hop (Lost Cat), dreamy downtempo (Green Hope), transparent synthpop (s k v r n s k) and other sound inflexions. For author’s self, this album is nothing but a diary – all tracks are connected with days or events. Without music he is blind in his life.

Interestingly enough, if you know English language rules the first thing you notice about this project is that there is a mistake in its very name: Dress Your Headphones. You can use verb 'to dress' when speaking about clothes but not headphones. However, the musician justifies himself by naming the album Language Mistakes. “The point is that headphones are something so habitual for modern people, explains Vsevolod, so that you cannot even imagine leaving your house without it. It’s just like wearing your pants.” In such an ironical way, the 19 years old producer with all his oeuvre proclaims something in a nature of “we don’t need no education”. And this works even better: when saying shortened project name “DYH” in Russian, you get “spirit”. It makes us think this is music with real soul. So dress on your headphones and push play!
